Capcom is listening to your woes, New Resident Evil camera options and tweaks coming

Resident Evil 6 was lambasted by most of the media. we personally loved it, even with its problems. For those that are still on fence about the game, perhaps news that Capcom is listening and trying to make the game a bit friendlier may push you towards that zombie bashing purchase. A free title update for both the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of Resident Evil 6 will be made available in mid-December (a little late but better late than never). The update include the following additions and improvements:

  • Gamers will be able to adjust the camera to give a greater field of view as best suits their play style. Check the screens above for a looksie at the new camera. The camera screenshot pairs show the minimum and maximum range of the new camera setting. *Please note that this feature is still in development and may change without further notice before the title update is released.
  • Subtitle options have been improved so that English language audio can be combined with subtitles in an alternative language.
  • As recently announced, Ada Wong’s campaign will be unlocked from the start and have an optional player-controlled co-op partner added. It was previously necessary to complete all three other campaigns in order to unlock Ada’s story.
  • ‘No Hope’ difficulty level will be added above the existing levels, for players who want an extreme challenge.

Capcom this generation has been known for nickle and dime tactics when it comes to DLC, but this time they’re actually turning over a new leaf. Capcom-Unity Community Manager Brett Elston has confirmed on that on disk DLC which includes a new difficulty and Ada Wong as a co-op partner will be released FREE of charge. No time table on when we can get our hands on it; but nice to know it won’t cost 800 space bucks.
