EA’s marketing department really keeps slipping up on that proper Battlefield 4 reveal

This past weekend, if you happened to be playing Battlefield 3 on Origin you might have come across an ad to pre-order MoH: Warfighter. What was interesting about the ad was the addition of a pre-order netting you an invite to the Battlefield 4 Beta. Wait a min… Battlefield 4? Of course developer DICE was all confused as this was information that wasn’t supposed to be known yet. Well, the little game of we don’t know what the hell you’re talking about but it’s being announced again in the new MoH dev trailer continues. [UPDATE] They’ve officially announced the game now. Finally.

EA it hitting the senses again with a new trailer for the upcoming Back to Karkand mappack hitting next month. If you managed to snag the LE edition of BF3, the mappack will be free to you. If not, it will set you back $15 bucks, which translates to 1200 MS space bucks on LIVE.

Want to know if the BF3 servers on online? Well now you can!

The Battlefield 3 launch has as pretty much anyone expected been met with some pretty insane server issues. Sometimes they’re up and sometimes they’re down, or just doing really freaking weird stuff. DICE knows you want to know what’s the health status of those pesky servers, so now they have a new site up which will let you know anytime you like if it’s go time to shoot some dudes online. You can see the new server status update page here. As of this post it seems all servers are ready for some online warfare.

NEW screens of Battlefield 3's 'Back to Karkand' map pack coming in early December.

The pack includes four classic Battlefield maps—Strike at Karkand, Wake Island, Gulf of Oman and Sharqi Peninsula. It also includes five new dog tags, five new achievements/trophies, three new vehicles (DPV, BTR-90, F-35B STOVL jet fighter), ten classic Battlefield weapons, and a new persistence system.
