Take-Two Extends its AGENT Trademark
We’re in the final countdown to E3 and little nuggets of info are falling through the cracks. Companies are getting their trademarks renewed and websites ready for announcements. The now mythical AGENT may be one of those big announcements for Sony at this years E3. Originally announced in 2007 as a PS3 exclusive, its been MIA since. Much like The Last Guardian, it’s almost like a magical unicorn that may or may not exist. We at least now know that AGENT is a real thing, real enough to renew their trademark for.

Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne Now on PSN

Atlus is bringing the demonic love to PSN with Nocturne. Easily one of the best Shin Megami games ever and also incredibly rare to find, now anyone with a PS3 can enjoy the end of the world insanity. Sadly, this game will not work on a Vita. Sony, get on that please.

Child of Light to Get Co-op, CrossBuy on PS3/PS4

Child of Light from UbiSoft is looking to be a fantastic Japanese inspired RPG for console players. Beautiful music and an enchanting story are just some of the highlights of the little title. For those looking to get themselves a little something special, Ubi has announced a Deluxe retail edition available for PC and PlayStation platforms.

The Deluxe Edition contains a digital copy of the game plus a poster designed by Japanese artist Yoshitaka Amano, a 24 page art book, an Igniculus key ring and a range of digital content, including a bonus quest, a new character and a pack of collectibles.

So far, it’s a UK only thing - sorry US gamers. No price point has been announced as of yet but expect to hear something sooner to launch. For those planning to pick this up on PS3 and plan to get a PS4 in the future; you’re in luck as the title will be CrossBuy with both platforms. Digitally the game will be available on  PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PC and even the Wii U. Child of Light will hit April 30th.

Thar Be Dragons!

Dark Souls II is ready to make you its bitch next month and if you’re so inclined you can do it while staring at this sweet CE for the upcoming game. Myself, I’m going the PC route, hoping that my old rig can muster 60fps. It won’t me any better at the game but I can at least die more smoothly.

Metal Gear Solid V Res Confirmed: Sub-720p (PS3/360), 720p (XB1), 1080p (PS4)

image

Kojima has come out and put to rest any rumors of what you can expect performance wise on MGSV: Ground Zeroes. PS3 and 360 owners will get a Sub-720 but upscaled image with less texture details and whatnot. Next-gen console owners are going to be in for a better deal - obviously. Unless you’re planning on getting the Xbox One version. The X1 will be 720p, 60fps with all of the extra texture detail that you would expect; just at a lower resolution than the PS4, which will be 1080p native and 60fps. All versions in fact will be 60fps, which is a win for everyone OK seems to be next-gen only. This trend of Xbox One games though running at a lower resolution, with at times worse effects is bringing me memories of the whole Xbox 360/PS3 days of old.

Rumor: PlayStation Now to be $49.99 for a yearly Subscription
Rumor floating around is that the recently revealed PlayStation Now service coming to PS4 this Summer will have an option for a yearly sub for $49.99. Not a bad price point for a year or service to play some great old games, provided that Sony is constantly adding more titles to the service. All of this is PURE rumor but how do you feel about a $49.99 price point for unlimited streaming of a growing PS3 library on your PS4?

Strider: A Retrospective

A new Strider is coming next week on all platforms - except the lonely Wii U. Sorry Nintendo. But for everyone else, you’ll be able to partake in some fast ninja action. Capcom has released a nice little video looking back at the history of the ninja. I’m still sad I somehow missed out on Strider 2 on the PSone. Capcom needs to bring that to PSN for some fast easy money.
