Certain Affinity’s Crimson Alliance is coming September 7th exclusively to XBLA and here’s a new trailer showcasing the wizard Direwolf. This fall is going to be good for fans of dungeon crawlers with Torchlight II, Crimson Alliance and LOTR: War in the North there’s gonna be more than enough loot and monsters to kill.

Microsoft has announced their line-up for this years Summer of Arcade and it’s a damn great line-up of games. My only real qualm is that pretty much officially, every big game is now $15. Not shocking by any stretch of the imagination as we all saw this coming. But yeah, wish more games went with the classic $10 price point. New Crimson Alliance gameplay scratches that dungeon crawling itch
Dungeon crawlers are a dying genre. From time to time we get the occasional Diablo clone, but for the most part it’s as dead as the hopes of Diablo III coming out this year. It’s why I’m happy to see Microsoft is investing in a new dungeon hacking franchise from Certain Affinity. Crimson Alliance features 4-player drop in and drop out co-op, and thank the heavens cuse we need more games like this! Check out some footage of the game in action from last weeks E3.

Personally, I love collecting loot and spending hours in dungeons kicking monster ass, so Crimson Alliance is a must have. And unlike Torchlight which recently came to XBLA, Crimson Alliance features 4 player online co-op. How the in the world you can have a dungeon crawler without co-op tom me is a sin. It’s like a sandwich with no cheese, wtf?!
