It’s that time of year again, time for Steam’s insane Christmas sale! Don’t forget to wait for daily deals as well, which can save you even more in the long run. Godspeed to your wallet, you’re going to need it.

I you’re a PC gamer and missed the boat on Alice and Mirror’s Edge (for shame), then now’s the time to pay for those sins with Amazon’s ‘Femme Fatale’ double pack. Two quality titles for $9.99. That’s the definitive version of both games (with controller support) for less than lunch at most places.

You don’t need to always shell out $60 for some decent gaming and this weeks ‘It Came from the Bargain Bin’ has some modest deals on some new and not so new games.
- If you’re a fan of Double Fine’s wacky brand of gaming then the “Oh So Fine Bundle” at Amazon will give you a lot of bang for your buck. $9.99 will net you Stacking, Psychonauts and Costume Quest with the Grubbins on Ice DLC. The entire pack is redeemable on Steam.
- Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City has hit the slightly bomba price drop of $39.99 on PS3 and Xbox 360. Reviews are mixed to say the least but if you’re looking for a new multiplayer game to screw around with online, you could do a lot worse. Albeit you could do a lot better. GameStop
- Spend time with Lightning and her multicolored pals in Final Fantasy XIII-2. If you love playing dress-up then the growing library of costume DLC will keep you happy. You can fight and control monsters on PS3 and Xbox 360 for $29.99. GameStop
- Are you Dragonborn? If the answer is, “I don’t know what that means kind sir!”, then it’s times you find the hell out! Steam is offering Elderscrolls V: Skyrim on the platform where adventure never die (thanks to mods!) for $40.
- I’m Batman! OK, no I’m not Batman but you can play as him and kick super villain ass this weekend if you pick up the excellent Batman: Arkham City at GamersGate for $11.98. That’s some damn fine gaming for hella cheap.
If you missed out on The Darkness II, its finally hit that sweet impulse buy price point of $12.49 now at Amazon and is redeemable on Steam. Clearly, this means it’s only the PC version but expect the 360 and PS3 versions to drop in price fairly soon as well. But if you’re a PC gamer, it’s a pretty damn well done port and looks sexy in 1080p maxed out as you can see in some footage I recorded (stupid Fraps kills the frame rate some). The Darkness II overall is a really fun game with some solid combat and decent voice acting and an easily recommended buy for 12 bucks.

If you missed out on last years zombie free for all named Dead Island, you can now pick up a copy on the cheap over at Amazon. Dead Island will set you back $25 and includes free shipping, which isn’t a bad deal. What is interesting is that Amazon shows that folks have bought a pack of toilet paper with Dead Island, hmm… sounds like sh*t inducing horror to me.

Sony is getting in on the after the holidays sale with a new 12 for $12 promotion with some of hottest games on PSN; and if you happen to be a PS Plus member you can save even more.

If you happen to have a solid gaming PC and didn’t pick up Alice: Madness Returns (for shame), you can now for hella cheap. Amazon has the title on sale as a digital download for $7.49. And if you happen to have a $5 promotional code from Amazon’s digital winter sale it will cost you a cheap ass $2.49. That’s cheaper than lunch at a crappy fast food joint and you won’t feel nearly as guilty afterwards.

If you never picked up Enslaved (and you should have, because it was a pretty great adventure game) you can grab it now on PS3 or Xbox 360 for $8 and some change over at Amazon. If you order now, you’ll even have it in time for Christmas.
Back in the 90s I was a huge PC gamer. PC gaming was hitting its stride and in many ways had entered a ‘golden age’ of goodness; mostly thanks to Black Isle and BioWare’s amazing RPGs. Sure, Mass Effect is pretty damn stellar and Dragon Age is no slouch but to see where BioWare and Obsidian (which used to be Black Isle) games started, you’d do well to pick up this new Dungeons and Dragons Anthology. It’s the very best role-play PC games ever made in a package that contains literally over 4-500 hours of gameplay.
If you love fantasy games and are looking for a new RPG fix, you can get this collection for $20.00. It’s the best deal currently in gaming. Yes, the graphics are dated but the writing and gameplay isn’t! Great games never age and the Baldur’s Gate Saga along with Icewind Dale are some of the best classic RPGs you’ll ever play.

Best Buy and Bestbuy.com are practically giving away the Killzone 3: Cat Helmet Edition at a super cheap $25; with free shipping. If you want to gift yourself or a loved one a cat helmet with a bonus game this Christmas, it’s not going to get any cheaper.

If you’re one of the many who didn’t play the absolutely fantastic Beyond Good & Evil last get, you can now repent with a great HD remake that’s available for a super cheap $3 on Xbox Live. In MS points, that’s a 240 space bucks. A damn good deal. A damn good, bloody good deal.

Best Buy has almost been stripped bare of deals but like an early Christmas miracle there are still copies of Batman: Arkham City to be had at a reasonable $29.99. If you’re looking to get yourself a copy or a friend/relative/bf/gf then it’s a good deal.

Xbox Live Arcade is having their annual Black Friday sales week, which is going on NOW. There will be more deals going live throughout the week but as it stands, you can check out the list of games on sales after the break.

Let’s face it, this November is killer on the wallet when it comes to new releases but Amazon is trying to make things a little easier. For a limited time, Amazon is running a buy 2 get 1 free deal on some great new and older releases. Even Batman: Arkham City and Dark Souls is on the list. Check’em out!

Steam has a Halloween sale going on and if you’re looking for some great games to scare up your Halloween then they’ve got it covered. With such classics like Amnesia and Bloodlines for under $10, you’d be crazy not get jump on it. Full list of games under the break.
