Dracula to be the main character in Castlevania Lords of Shadow 2

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 Producer David Cox has confirmed that we’ll be playing as a Dracula (Gabriel Belmont) in the sequel. Obviously as Dave has said, that means vampire powers. I still want some whip action though, it’s just not the same without a whip.

Rumor: Castlevania: Lords of Shadow sequel coming to Wii U and Vita

It’s pretty much a given that the follow up to the stunningly beautiful Castlevania: Lords of Shadow is going to be announced at next months E3. What is news is that according to the Paul Gale Network, which has a pretty damn solid track record for having true rumors, is that the Lords of Shadow sequel will be making its way to Nintendo’s new Wii U as well as Sony’s PS Vita.
Lords of Shadow was an amazing game; but one that felt hampered by some rather cumbersome control issues and technical problems keeping a steady frame rate. Here’s hoping developer Mercury Steam has done some work on their engine and managed to get the sequel up to snuff. I know many a gamer looking forward to seeing more of Gabriel Belmont.
Rumor: Castlevania: Lords of Shadow director working on 3DS title, Castlevania: Mirror of Faith

According to Dutch Nintendo site N1ntendo Konami revealed in their E3 Appointment schedule that Castlevania: Mirror of Faith will be announced exclusively for 3DS. No details at this point, other than David Cox, Producer from Lord of Shadows and Enric Alvarez, director/writer of the same game seem to be working on the title. If true it seems to be another solid addition to the growing 3DS line-up. There’s also been rumors that Konami will announce to sequel to Lords of Shadow at this years E3. We’ll find out in 2 short weeks.
Rumor: Castlevania Lords of Shadow sequel coming in 2012

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow from Mercury Steam and Kojima Productions was an all around pretty solid action adventure title. It felt more than a little artificially extended and had some rough platforming controls but overall it was a beautiful game and a great first effort from Mercury Steam. LoS producer David Cox is starting off 2012 hinting that we’ll be spending more time with the first Belmont come this year, and if Mercury Steam can build on the solid base of Lords of Shadow then the sequel is sure to be one of the big titles of 2012.
