As a huge fan of Street Fighter 2 as a kid, George Shaw became a professional composer 20 years later, writing music for film, TV, and video games. After stumbling across a 20th anniversary documentary about Street fighter he was inspired to take themes from my favorite characters, and orchestrate them, giving a fresh, new, and timeless update that could just as easily be heard in the concert hall.

It’s finally October!! We’re in the home stretch for not only amazing games coming soon but new consoles and Halloween. Our next game in the 13 Games of Halloween line-up is a throw back to when Capcom was about side-scrollers and platformers - back when games were hard as hell. Ghosts ‘n Goblins, Metroid and Castlevania were known for being tough back in the day, and Capcom loved making games that made you have to be a Jedi to persevere; and Demon’s Crest was along that same line. While technically not a horror game, it did have demons, ghosts, zombies and other nasty monsters trying to stop you at every turn. If you’re a fan of exploration and then you’ll love Demon’s Crest - as the real goal of the game wasn’t so much kicking monster ass but evolving Firebrand with new abilities and items. Check out some gameplay of Demon’s Crest after the break.
