If you played the original Alan Wake on Xbox 360, you know it was a whirlwind thriller with a deep story that left with a hell of a cliffhanger. Well, it seems that Lead Creative Writer at Remedy Same Lake is dropping some hints on what we’ll be discovering in American Nightmare. *Spoilers*

The crazy guys at Remedy have a new dev diary up for Alan Wake’s American Nightmare which releases this month on XBLA. In it Marcus, Ozz and “Mr. Max Payne” Sam Lake talk about how American Nightmare came to be. The keyword for this stand alone XBLA title is “Hefty”. Coming in at 5 hours of single player story and a nice arcade mode — that’s a nice chunk of high quality game for $15. You’ll also catch Mr. Scratch up to no good in the background, which appears to be some poor bastard. Hit the break the to check it out.

Microsoft has announced that Remedy Entertainment’s Alan Wake’s American Nightmare will scare up Xbox Live Arcade this coming Feb 22nd for 1200 space bucks Microsoft points. Expect this new addition to the Alan Wake franchise to be heavier on action than Alan Wake and also be less Stephen King and more Tarintino grindhouse horror fest.
Alan Wake’s American Nightmare OST announced - It’s an awesome soundtrack

One of the things that the original Alan Wake had going for it was a fantastic soundtracks. Not only was the orchestral work solid but it also managed to produce a soundtrack of licensed songs that really added to the atmosphere of the title. Alan Wake’s American Nightmare looks to be going the same route with a soundtrack that really scratches the music snob in me.

Remedy Entertainment is at CES showing off Alan Wake’s American Nightmare and it’s looking fantastic. I’ll be upfront though, I was/am a huge fan of the original and I’m bias as hell when it comes to Alan Wake. You can check out the new footage after the break.
