Remedy already working on Xbox Durango

Developer Remedy is dedicated to their IP Alan Wake, as does seem Microsoft in their support of the IP. We’ve known that Alan Wake’s fight against the darkness was going to continue, even more so after American Nightmare’s ending, but it’s looking much more solid that they will continue on the next-generation Xbox first.
Alan Wake’s American Nightmare coming to Steam this month

Remedy Entertainment’s Alan Wake’s American Nightmare is hitting Steam May 22nd. The once XBLA exclusive is bringing a whole new action suspense experience to the franchise with a Twilight Zone twist. In celebration of the impending launch, Remedy is offering gamers a some steep discounts on Alan Wake. Pre-orders of American Nightmare on Steam or GOG will receive 10% off their purchase. For purchasers of the original Alan Wake, an additional 15% off is available! Alan Wake is now part of Steam’s Midweek Madness (only 72 hours!) available at 50% off. The offer is also available on GOG.
Here’s the third devdiary for Alan Wake’s American Nightmare which releases next week on Xbox Live Arcade. Expect not only more action but also a higher resolution, select able Vsync options within the menu, and FXAA instead of the standard MSAA of Alan Wake. Alan Wake’s American Nightmare will set you back 1200 MS points and weighs in at a little around 1.3GB.
Alan Wake PC Limited Edition announced
Alan Wake is coming to PC this week (Feb 16th) via Steam and also on shelves thanks to Nordic Games. Included with the Limited Edition is a Bonus Disc which includes the History of Remedy, The Making of Alan Wake, The Making of a Thriller, music videos by Old Gods of Asgard, trailers to the game and Storyboard with concept art as a movie. Pretty much everything included in the Xbox 360 version, plus the the last two bits of Alan Wake DLC.

If you played the original Alan Wake on Xbox 360, you know it was a whirlwind thriller with a deep story that left with a hell of a cliffhanger. Well, it seems that Lead Creative Writer at Remedy Same Lake is dropping some hints on what we’ll be discovering in American Nightmare. *Spoilers*
Alan Wake’s American Nightmare dev diary

The crazy guys at Remedy have a new dev diary up for Alan Wake’s American Nightmare which releases this month on XBLA. In it Marcus, Ozz and “Mr. Max Payne” Sam Lake talk about how American Nightmare came to be. The keyword for this stand alone XBLA title is “Hefty”. Coming in at 5 hours of single player story and a nice arcade mode — that’s a nice chunk of high quality game for $15. You’ll also catch Mr. Scratch up to no good in the background, which appears to be some poor bastard. Hit the break the to check it out.

Microsoft has announced that Remedy Entertainment’s Alan Wake’s American Nightmare will scare up Xbox Live Arcade this coming Feb 22nd for 1200 space bucks Microsoft points. Expect this new addition to the Alan Wake franchise to be heavier on action than Alan Wake and also be less Stephen King and more Tarintino grindhouse horror fest.
Alan Wake’s American Nightmare OST announced - It’s an awesome soundtrack

One of the things that the original Alan Wake had going for it was a fantastic soundtracks. Not only was the orchestral work solid but it also managed to produce a soundtrack of licensed songs that really added to the atmosphere of the title. Alan Wake’s American Nightmare looks to be going the same route with a soundtrack that really scratches the music snob in me.
Remedy hiring for new AAA console title

Remedy Entertainment’s Alan Wake’s American Nightmare releases next month on Xbox 360 but where the hell is Alan Wake 2? Well it may be being worked on and Remedy is looking for a “Gameplay/AI Programmer” to work on their unannounced AAA project.

I’ll be upfront though, I was/am a huge fan of the original and I’m bias as hell when it comes to Alan Wake. You can check out the new footage after the break. Each year Microsoft packs a bunch of heavy hitter digital titles for each quarter with a nice little promotion and some usually impressive Xbox Live only exclusives. This year is no surprise as they’ve announced that 2012’s House Party has some top-notch digital content; starting with Remedy Entertainment’s Alan Wake’s American Nightmare.
