Things you probably didn’t know existed
Back in 1995, Tiger Electronics, makers of those mildly amusing handheld games like Batman Returns, tried their hand at going toe-to-toe against Nintendo in the handheld field with their R-Zone system. R-Zone was very much the slightly slower and somewhat more dimwitted cousin of Nintendo’s Virtual Boy; I think we know where this is going. R-Zone fared just about as well but not before having its own version of Panzer Dragoon. Why SEGA thought this was a horse to back is beyond us, but it’s real and it happened. SEGA even made a version of Virtua Fighter for the system. This is one system that we won’t miss. We could do with more Panzer Dragoon though SEGA!
