Resident Evil 6 to have online community service; ResidentEvil.net

Capcom is on a roll for Gamescom this week. We’re getting some footage of the white haired Vergil for DmC later today, Remember Me was announced and now Resident Evil fans are going to have a new home online for their RE6 adventures in ResidentEvil.net. Think of it as Capcom’s answer to Bungie.net for Resident Evil 6. RE.net will be the place to check your stats, weapons used, monsters blown away,  Mercenaries high scores, etc.

The community can also come together to unlock new in-game content, such as costumes by meeting objectives, like collectively killing 10,000 zombies in a weekend. Capcom also plans to host tournaments and other special community events keeping RE6 fresh and engaged with players.
