We saw this coming from a country mile — The Old Republic is going F2P this Fall
It was bound to happen, even more so when we kept hearing of subscription numbers falling each month. EA has announced that Star Wars: The Old Republic MMO is going Free-to-Play this Fall. Similar to DC Universe Online, there will be a Premium option that gives monthly paying customers more content; but those looking to just get their Jedi sticks wet, you can dive in for free.
