Mass Effect 3: Rebellion Pack unleashes on May 29th, will be free

Strengthen your forces and battle for new territories with the next downloadable content pack for Mass Effect 3multiplayer. Available to download at no additional charge, the Mass Effect 3: Rebellion Pack adds two brand-new maps, a new team objective and a new equipment slot to the game’s critically-acclaimed cooperative experience. The Mass Effect 3: Rebellion Pack will also introduce new unlockable characters, including the Vorcha, ex-Cerberus operatives and Male Quarians. Also available are all new weapons and items that can be obtained through reinforcement packs in the game’s multiplayer store.

 The Mass Effect 3: Rebellion Pack will be available starting May 29 on Xbox Live and the Origin client software and on PlayStation Network in North America on May 29 and in Europe on May 30.

No Guild Wars 2 Beta this weekend

There will be no Guild Wars 2 Beta Weekend this week ArenaNet has confirmed on Facebook. Following some issues during the first Beta Weekend and stress test event, ArenaNet has made a few changes and is putting new hardware in place to alleviate some of the problems experienced during the event. No date has been set for the second beta event as of yet, but ArenaNet plans to reveal the date once the new hardware is in place.

Diablo III patch incoming

Blizzard is going to nerf your monk, so if you’re partial to the ‘Boon of Protection’ I’d spam the hell out of it now. Blizzard has announced a patch full of hotfixes is coming tomorrow along with notes and a live chat to answer any questions fans might have. Commence the stream of whining on message boards… now!

Not surprising, Diablo III has done phenomenally well. So well in fact that it now holds the all-time record for fastest-selling PC game. Blizzard won’t go hungry tonight!

I’ve been gaming since the Atari 9600, and I mean that in a literal, non-hipster way. Oh, by the way, please keep any hipster shit out of the comments here. Gaming didn’t stop being great back in the SNES days, you weren’t into Gears of War before it became all corporate and shit, and games that are purely gameplay are boring as shit. I enjoyed playing my old Atari games, namely the Empire Strikes Back game, but compared to newer games, it sucks balls.
